As we approach the end of a full pandemic school year, we are starting to see there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

Just like every month since the pandemic began, a lot has happened in this May and there’s a lot more to come. We started May with a well deserved thank you to teachers. Along the way, children ages 12 to 18 became eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccines, and the CDC announced looser COVID-19 restrictions for those fully vaccinated.

I look forward to working with the Ward 7 Community to continue supporting our students, families, and schools. I hope the resources and updates below are helpful.

Please reach out to me at eboni-rose.thompson@dc.gov if there are resources you’d like to share in future newsletters or if there are questions and concerns.
